Earthquake – Youtube Witness
Social media is everywhere, happening all the time and, at times like this, act as a witness producing a byproduct. This video of a girl recording her solo guitar/singing debut (we have all seen this on youtube) began her recording session when the Mexicali earthquake hit. The shaking lasted for almost 50 seconds.
NEW Creative Jobs from iPad
VIV Mag Featurette: A Digital Magazine Motion Cover and Feature for the iPad from Alexx Henry on Vimeo.
The iPad is just weeks away from being released and magazines and other ad agencies are excited. Why you ask? Take a look at the video. Although most, if not all, of the examples in the video are generated, the potential is amazing.
This really brings a whole new dimension to professional content. I am excited!!
Windows 7 – my idea!
If you are tired of the Windows 7 commercial about the new operating system being “my idea” then watch this.
How to tell the news
This was posted by Raanan Bar our speaker this week. It is a video by Charlie Brooker on how to deliver the news. Hysterical and not really related to social media. Still very funny.
SocialGo – Some Great Features
The video is a feature on SocialGo as NBC’s website of the week. One of the big points the makers drive home is that the creater of the network owns the content and contacts. If you leave SocialGo you take your users and they will not spam your users with recommendations.
One other point – they have a large list of widgets that are available for purchase.
Dolphin Sexy Network
This video is a little cheesy but they get the point across. The platform is super sexy with a lot of features.
iPad – It looks so good
It looks so good, but is it good enough. Check out the video. The engineers and the presentation is very convincing. I am convinced that I will get one. How about you?
Youtube Caught with Pants Down
When youtube suspends this 8 year-old’s account for apparently violating the terms of service for the age requirement, youtube gets a surprise from the supporters. Community members for 4chan banded together and had its members/supporters upload questionable content using the privacy setting making it not public. The next morning the users changed the privacy settings of the content to have youtube scrambling to remove it. Although his account still stays inactive, there are more than 250 tribute videos digg.com reports. Amazing!
